Project Starvation

You will bring beauty from my pain.

Welcome to Project Starvation

This is a Pro-Ana site that I created solely for my own entertainment. I decided to take it on as a project to keep myself busy during fasts, and to expel the periods of restlessness and despair when my depression decides to take a vicious swing at me.

Aside from that, Project Starvation is meant to serve as a haven for the Eating Disordered. A place to lay down your daily troubles, and lose yourself in the sense of peace you may find when you indulge your ED. A place to escape the stresses of the day-to-day world, and just relax in a friendly, non-judgemental environment. An environment full of tips, distractions, thinspiration, information, recipes, games, music, movies, books, and anything else you could possibly hope to find on Eating Disorders.

At this point, I would really like to add that it is also a wonderful place to interact and get support from others, and that we do everything to support those who are trying to recover as well, but sadly, I cannot. Project Starvation is only just coming into the world, and as such, I am pretty much the only person here, and while I will offer any and all support I can to everyone who asks for it, I am only one person.

And because I have never been through the hardships of recovery, I have very little advice to offer to those who are battling through it. I can only wish you the very best of luck, and offer my prayers for your success. I can also tell you that if you are here, and you are recovering, it is probably better that you leave, as this place will only trigger you, and make your struggle even harder. The House of Thin is ideal for anyone in recovery. They are part of Pro-Ana's Second Wave, and offer a great deal of support for people struggling to overcome their eating disorders while still being primarily ED themselves.

Speaking of the Second Wave, I would like to take a minute to say that Project Starvation, while obviously Pro-Ana, is in itself rather detached from the larger community. I was not here to witness the First Wave, and until recently, I wasn't even aware a second one had come. I have been very active in the community for the past year, or so I thought, but I guess the blogging world of Pro-Ana differs a great deal from the general community more often found within strictly ED sites and forums. And while Project Starvation itself is not part of the Second Wave (or any wave, really), it does support it. However, for the time being, I would prefer not to become directly involved in the movement.

That being said, Welcome to Project Starvation, and enjoy your stay!
